We were seeking
Fortune and glory,
Chasing ghosts
And facing fears,
Confronting all evils
With a word
We weren’t thieves
And we aren’t honourable,
We are downright bastards,
Cheat all those
Who challenge us
Out of a prize
We are
Treasure hunters
Seeking fortune
And glory
We dream
For a dream
Of recognition
And a road
To eventual fame
We treasure hunters
Lie, cheat and steal
Just to save
An artefact
Or relic
Of the past
From destruction
It will never happen
That we be recognised
For our conquests
But we still
Have the glory
Of being
Treasure hunters
